Our family business is now closed.

We have enjoyed 97 wonderful years, but now is the time for us to hang up our aprons. We would like to thank you for your incredible support & custom. Thank you to our suppliers & farms. We couldn't have done it without you all.

About us.....

We are a unique traditional family butchers, sourcing and preparing the finest of meats to our customers.

We pride ourselves on preparing the best quality meat in front of our customers.

We endeavour to use every part of the animal and continually introduce a variety of ranges, adapting to the ever changing trends, family demands and the ‘housekeeping’ budget!  So don’t forget to look out for our special offers offering a variety of meals to meet family and individually meal requirements.

We buy the majority of our beef ‘on the hoof’ directly from farms and control the slaughtering and delivery dates.  The beef is hung in our hanging room and broken down as and when ready.

Our lambs are sourced from local farms and markets.  Buying lambs gives us the opportunity to use every cut of meat whether its joints or chops and therefore, very little waste as the trim can be used for our burgers and lamb mince. 

Whole pigs are delivered weekly. Our butchers break these down and prepare traditional joints and the trim is used in our award winning sausages.

We are well known and pride ourselves for our handmade sausages;  plain, being the most popular followed by sage.  Gluten Free available too.

  • Delivery service – Local, available on request. 
    Our refrigerated vehicle enables us to deliver and provide our meats to you.
  • Order & Collect Service – please do call us and place an order for collection.  This will reduce your waiting time in our shops, especially
    on a Friday and Saturday and also ensures you do not miss out on popular cuts of meat.
